The Landsat 8 Image of the Week archive presents a series of images acquired by the latest satellite in the Landsat series, which was launched on 11 February 2013.
Latest Images of the Week
20 December 2018 - This weeks images from the Coperncius Sentinel-2 satellite, show the village of Rovaniemi, Finland and were captured in September 2017 and March 2018.
14 December 2018 - Proba-V data was used to track the evolution of the A-68 and B-46 icebergs in the Antarctic Sea. The large icebergs broke off from the Larsen C ice shelf and Pine Island Glacier, respectively, in 2017 and 2018.
05 December 2018 - This weeks image comparison uses Lsndsat and Sentinel imagery to view the island of Geoje in South Korea, and in particular the city of Pusan and the Geoga Bridge project.
22 November 2018 - These image comparisons using imagery from the Landsat 8 OLI and Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellites show the fires north of Sacramento in November 2018.
15 November 2018 - This week's image comparisons use Copernicus Sentinel-2 imagery to show the large fires that have spread through the state of California (Malibu, Sacramento and Thousand Oaks).
