SCIAMACHY Level 2 products version 6.01

 

This page provides an overview of the completeness of the SCIAMACHY consolidated Level 2 dataset generated from the latest full-mission reprocessing campaign completed in 2016 with instrument processor version 6.01. The new reprocessed dataset adopts as input the improved SCIAMACHY Level 1b version 8 dataset. The table below shows statistics of the Level 2 products availability. Orbits sensed during monthly calibrations - for which nadir or limb measurements were not planned - are not processed up to Level 2 products.

The reprocessed dataset covers the whole operational ENVISAT-SCIAMACHY mission lifetime period (from 02/08/2002 up to 08/04/2012) and adopts processing stage flag "Y". Users are strongly recommended to migrate to the new reprocessed version 6 dataset.

      SCIAMACHY Level 2 products version 5.02      

Objective of this web-page is to provide an overview of the status of the SCIAMACHY consolidated Level 2 data set hosted on the D-PAC FTP server. The data set analysed includes data from the latest full-mission reprocessing campaign and from the operational off-line processing with SGP 5.02, processing flag "W". 

The reprocessing activity covered orbits from 02 August 2002 (orbit 2204) to 21 September 2011 (orbit 49999). The new reprocessed data set adopts as input improved Level 1b version 7.04-W data.

The old products with processing flag "U" were replaced by the new reprocessed Level 2 data set.

Note that orbits sensed during monthly calibrations - for which nadir or limb measurements are not planned - are not processed up to Level 2 products. The following table summarizes for every year of the mission the number of orbits planned, the number of available Level 2 products, the number of not recoverable orbits when either SCIAMACHY, ENVISAT or the Ground Segment were unavailable, and the number of Level 2 products missing for processing failures.

Access to SCIAMACHY products can be provided to existing ESA Proposals and/or Registrations by contacting EO Helpdesk, or through a new user Registration on the ESA EOPI Portal.
