EO Sign In Authentication (Open)

1. Go to the Dissemination Service and select the collection for the “Austria coverage”
2. Find the product you want via a map using the catalogue search
3. Register or log in to EO Sign In
4. Download

The ESA (A)SAR On-the-fly (OTF) data processing and dissemination service allows end-users to gain direct access to the (A)SAR archive from the ERS-1, ERS-2 and Envisat Missions.

The data is collection based and allows data browse and download through the treeview as well as via geographical catalogue search based on area of interest and metadata. Interferometric search option is available for relevant collections. Data download is available via HTTPS, including bulk download functionality.

ERS and Envisat products can also be discovered through ESA's Exploring Earth service, which allows users to browse and download products among the available datasets from ESA and Third Party Missions and instruments, using various criteria (spatial, temporal).

For internal ESA users the ESAAD account cannot be used.

This is a thematic collection containing bulk processed ERS-1/2 SAR and Envisat ASAR Image Mode Level 1 products covering, or intersecting, the full available mission archives from 1991 to 2012 over the area of Austria.

The collection is composed of the following product types nominally available via the ESA (A)SAR On-the-fly (OTF) processing service:

• SAR_IMS_1P - Level 1 Single Look Complex [ERS]
• SAR_IMP_1P - Level 1 Precision Image [ERS]
• ASA_IMS_1P - Level 1 Single Look Complex [Envisat]
• ASA_IMP_1P - Level 1 Precision Image [Envisat]

The bulk processed Level 1 products over Austria are segment based. They have a variable size (with a duration from approximately 15 to approximately 108 seconds) and are usually longer than the equivalent frame-based standard products generated by the ESA (A)SAR On-the-fly (OTF) service normally covering approximately 15 seconds of acquisition. The products are distributed to users in Envisat format.

The size of the full collection is approximately 4 TB.
