Minimize Typhoon Rananim (China) - August 2004

Typhoon Rananim struck China at Category 2 on the Saffir-Simpson Scale on 12 August 2004. A severe storm; Rananim caused damage along the Chinese coast and destroyed 64,300 houses, damaging over 100,000 more and leaving 168 dead. Due to the severity of the storm, the name Rananim has been retired from the list of Typhoon names to use.
