Dr Tony McNally
Tony Mcnally joined ECMWF from Oxford University in 1989. Since then he has worked on the assimilation of satellite observations for Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) and other applications such as re-analysis and environmental monitoring.
His main expertise is in the use of microwave and infrared sounding radiances and in recent years he has led the ECMWF effort to exploit data from hyperspectral sounders such as AIRS and IASI. Tony has sat on a number of scientific steering committees at EUMETSAT and for the JCSDA in the United States.
