COSMO-SkyMed is an Italian Earth-imaging constellation, the first generation consisting of four identical satellites, launched between 2007 and 2010, three of which remain operational. The second generation consists of two enhanced SAR Satellites, CSG-1, the first satellite successfully launched on 18 December 2019 from Kourou Space Center (French Guyana) using a Soyuz launcher. CSG-2, the second satellite, launched on 31 Jaunuary 2022.
