In September 2004, Hurricane Jeanne caused damage across the Caribbean and parts of the southeastern United States. After impacting the Bahamas, Jeanne made landfall in Florida, resulting in extensive damage with its strong winds and heavy rainfall. These images, captured by the Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometre (MERIS) Level 1 and 2, depict Hurricane Jeanne as it approached Florida over the Atlantic Ocean.
