Millau Viaduct (Massif, Central France)

This image merges Envisat and ERS-2 satellite SAR images of Millau, France. It illustrates the construction and completion of the viaduct along the A75-A71 motorway from Paris to Montpellier, near Millau. Completed in just three years (2001-2004), it officially opened to traffic on 16 December 2006, becoming the world's tallest bridge at 343 metre high.
