Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge's Evolution: A Satellite Perspective from 2009 to 2018

These images, captured by Landsat 5 and 8, and Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellites, showcase the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau main Bridge. In this comparison using false-colour imagery from Landsat 5 and 8 satellites, the bridge is seen connecting artificial islands, which are also linked by a submarine tunnel visible at the centre of the image. The construction is highlighted in Sentinel-2 images, which use bands in visible and false colour, though clouds in the image are notable. This 55-kilometre-long bridge includes a 6-kilometre submarine tunnel and three artificial islands, linking Hong Kong, Zhuhai, and Macau.
