How to Access Data

EO Sign In Authentication (Open): This collection is openly accessible but requires users to log in with an EO Sign In  account (a system used across ESA Earth Observation services) before any downloads can proceed.

Access Steps:

Createor log in to EO Sign In account.
Go to the ESA MAAP Explorer.
Browse or search for the product.
Download product.

EarthCARE data can also be discovered and downloaded through the use of APIs (e.g. STAC) through the ESA MAAP Catalogue, using access tokens. Go to the MAAP Catalogue guide to learn more about how to use APIs and see the MAAP Explorer user guide for instructions on exploring, visualising, and accessing data interactively.

Collection Description

EarthCARE data products encompass essential supporting auxiliary (AUX) and orbit data critical for accurate sensor data processing and analysis.

Orbit data consists of on-board satellite data and orbital information predicted or determined by the Flight Operations Segment (FOS). For EarthCARE, this includes:

Reconstructed Orbit,
Attitude Files, which provide detailed satellite positioning and orientation information.

The integration of AUX and orbit data into EarthCARE's data processing workflow ensures the generation of high-quality datasets, supporting:

atmospheric research,
climate modelling,
environmental monitoring.
