Title: Surface displacements from InSAR

Description: Interferogram generated from ERS imagery (ascending track 215) acquired between 30 January and 4 April, 1996, overlain on the national Swiss map 1:100,000 (swisstopo). Despite very high level of noise due to atmospheric disturbances, color fringes over the village of Brienz/Brinzauls, show initial indications of ongoing displacements almost 30 years before the catastrophic event occurred on 15 June 2023.
