Long-term declining trend in lake water volume

Title: Long-term declining trend in lake water volume
Description: A study – published in the journal Science – revealed that climate change, human consumption and sedimentation are depleting more than half of the world’s biggest lakes of water. These losses impacted lakes in both dry and humid environments, but there were also some exceptions. Artificial reservoirs, for example, increased in volume due to a rise in the number of these water bodies constructed during the study period.
