Recovery of past Swarm L1B data gaps

15 Apr 2020

Swarm L1B data gaps registered in the past have been recovered by using the last L1B operational processor, in particular, data has been processed for the days where the following cases occurred:

  • Burst mode sessions before February 2020: the scope of this regeneration is to deliver the 1Hz ASM data, that were previously set to zero during burst mode sessions
  • PLASMA (Langmuir Prode) data gaps due to missing magnetic data: the recovery of these data is possible due to the decoupling of plasma products from magnetic products as introduced in the last L1B operational processor
  • MAGNET and PLASMA data gap caused by minor issues present in the Swarm L1B data processing chain

The full list of recovered Swarm data gaps is now available.
