Focusing on the PlanetScope ESA archive

14 Nov 2023

The PlanetScope satellite constellation consists of hundreds of Dove and SuperDove cubesats, which acquire very high resolution optical imagery. Starting in 2016, batches of new satellites are regularly launched, with the goal to image Earth every day.

PlanetScope is part of ESA's Third Party Missions programme, in which ESA has an agreement to further the distribution of free data from this commercial mission.

The PlanetScope ESA archive is a collection of data products that were previously requested by ESA Third Party Mission data users. The products support applications related to detailed mapping of vegetation, land use and infrastructure, tracking surface deformation, and cryosphere and hydrology monitoring.
