Title: Aeolus data integrated into hurricane forecast models

Description: As part of research published in the Quarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, scientists completed a series of observation system experiments to examine the impact of assimilating Aeolus data into HWRF. The study focused on the full cycles of seven tropical cyclones, which consisted of a total of 226 individual 126 hourforecasts. The storms were located in the Atlantic and Eastern Pacific basins, taking place in 2019.
