The overall objective of the FSSCat mission was to deliver data with a high temporal-resolution and moderate spatial resolution which supported the activities of the Copernicus Marine and Land Environment services.

Through this, FSSCat contributed to global efforts to monitor and understand the Earth’s environment and weather, and also demonstrated technologies that may enhance the accuracy and efficiency of satellite data collection and analysis in the future.
