Calibration and Validation (Cal/Val) remains a key topic in the Earth Observation (EO) community. Following the success of the previous QA4EO workshops, the QA4EO-2 Cal/Val Workshop #6, took place in Helsinki from 30 September to 2 October 2025, hosted by the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI).

This event brought together the teams involved in the current QA4EO-2 ESA contract as well as participants from earlier project phases to review progress and share insights on Cal/Val activities across a broad range of EO domains, including Metrology, Atmosphere, Cryosphere, Land, and Water.

The workshop  once again proved to be a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, technical discussion, and cross-domain collaboration, reinforcing the community’s commitment to advancing Cal/Val practices for more reliable and harmonized Earth Observation data.
