Advanced Training Course in Ocean Remote Sensing 2011

Within the framework of the Dragon Programme, a joint collaboration between the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), ESA and NRSCC are providing a series of advanced thematic training courses on remote sensing applications hosted by university and research institutions in P.R. China.
In 2011 58 PhD students, post-doctoral and research scientists from P.R. China and other Asian countries interested in ocean remote sensing applications attended this advanced training course.
The course was hosted by the State Key Laboratory of Estuarine and Coastal Research, East China Normal University, Shanghai, P.R. China.
Objectives
The objectives of this advanced Dragon training course were:
- To stimulate and support the exploitation of ESA, TPM and Chinese EO data for ocean applications
- Introduce available software tools and methods for the exploitation of ERS, Envisat, TPM and Earth Explorer mission satellite data
