Title: Droughts create conditions for wildfires
Description: As the climate crisis escalates, many natural hazards, such as wildfires, are increasing in frequency. Extreme drought events may create conditions for wildfires, and when followed by heavy precipitation, may lead to landslides. This image of forest fires on the Greek island of Euboea, were acquired by the SPOT 6/7 satellites on 8 May 2021.
