Open Access (Open): This collection is openly accessible in accordance with the European Space Agency's (ESA) Earth observation data policy.

Access Steps: 

1. Go to the CS2EO Platform or the ESA online Dissemination Service.
2. Search for the product.
3. Download the product.

You can download products using the following methods:

• CS2EO Platform: A dedicated platform for searching, visualizing, and downloading CryoSat products. 
• FTPS: Bulk download is available from (ftp://science-pds.cryosat.esa.int/). Login with an EO Sign account is required.
• HTTPS: Access products through the ESA online Dissemination Service.  Login with an EO Sign account is required. 
• VtCryoSat: A dedicated tool for browsing data collections and downloading products of interest.

The CryoSat's primary payload is the SAR/Interferometric Radar Altimeter (SIRAL), which is designed to measure ice-sheet elevation and sea-ice freeboard. The satellite also carries three star trackers, a Doppler Orbit and Radio Positioning Integration by Satellite (DORIS) radio receiver, and a laser retroreflector to ensure accurate positioning.

A variety of CryoSat datasets are available and distributed to users, including: 

• Level 1B and L2 Ice and Ocean Products: These products contain calibrated and corrected altimetric measurements in geo-localized reference frames. Level 2 products contain geo-location and surface height. 
• Cryo-TEMPO Products: Thematic products over five areas: Winter Sea Ice, Summer Sea Ice, Land Ice, Polar Ocean, Coastal Ocean, and Inland Water. These products use state-of-the-art processing and are aimed at non-altimeter experts. 
• Cryo-TEMPO EOLIS: This dataset exploits the Synthetic Aperture Radar Interferometric (SARIn) mode and a novel swath processing technique to increase spatial and temporal coverage of time-dependent elevation over land ice. It includes new L2-Swath products and monthly Digital Elevation Model (DEM) products. 
• CryoSat Quaternions Product: Contains the attitude quaternions for the CryoSat-2 mission, obtained from corrected mispointing angles.
