Swarm Bravo GPS anomaly on 16 June 2023

20 Jun 2023

A loss of GPS Time Synchronisation registered on Swarm Bravo on 13 June 2023 has affected all of the Swarm Bravo instruments.

Overall, data gaps have been identified on 13 June between 14:49:02 and 15:07:34 on all L1B products, with consequent impact on L2 products.

Moreover, this event triggered an anomaly on EFI which caused an instrument switch off and a consequent data gap in all plasma products between 14:49:02 on 13 June and 11:30:49 on 15 June UTC.

As a consequence of the GPS reboot, the ongoing ASM burst mode session on Swarm Bravo was interrupted and restarted manually. For this reason, the ASM burst mode data are not available between 14:49:02 on 13 June and 11:49:09 on 14 June UTC.
