PROBA-V data available over Antarctica

05 Mar 2018

Near the end of last year, due to a huge amount of interest from the users, it was decided to acquire PROBA-V data over Antarctica from November 2017 to February 2018.

The campaign has now been completed: the 1 km, 300 m and 100 m resolution products of Antarctica are available online via the PROBA-V Distribution Platform in the respective product collections.

Furthermore, all products are mounted on the PROBA-V Mission Exploitation Platform Virtual Machines, providing immediate access to the data with a powerful set of tools and libraries next to processing capacity. Products are processed up to L2A and provided in a polar stereographic projection for your convenience.

This image shows an example of a seamless mosaic of all the orbits needed, projected and cropped to the land borders. The small image on the left shows all the orbits needed to shape up the total land mass of Antarctica in 1 km or 300 m resolution.
