New Swarm TRACIS product released

16 Sep 2022

A new product is now available for the three Swarm spacecraft on the Swarm dissemination server.

The "TII Raw And Corrected Imagery / Spectra" product (TRACIS) has been developed by University of Calgary under contract to Technical University of Denmark (DTU) within the scope of Swarm DISC.

It represents an official archive of Level 0 TII full images and derived (Level 1B) gain-corrected images and energy and angle-of-arrival count-rate spectra.

It includes low resolution (TISL1B) and high resolution (TISH1B) data of TII imagery and column sum spectra.

The TISL1B product consists of TII full images and derived products at the variable TII full image cadence, which varies from a few seconds to several minutes according to the operation plan for each satellite. Image quality is characterised with respect to various TII imaging anomalies. The TISH1B product consists of the Level 0 TII column sum count-rates at a cadence of two spectra per second.

The dataset covers the time interval from 8 December 2013 to 31 August 2022.

It is available on the Swarm dissemination server at the following path:

  • Advanced/Plasma_Data/TRACIS/ TISL1B
  • Advanced/Plasma_Data/TRACIS/ TISH1B

For more information on the contents of this data product, please refer to the TRACIS Product Definition Document.
