New Swarm Burst and Whistler products from IPGP/CNES/CEA-Leti released
19 Jan 2024
We are pleased to announce that two new Swarm products making use of Absolute Scalar Magnetometer (ASM) high-rate data at 250 Hz (acquired when the instrument is operating in Burst Mode), are now available on Swarm Dissemination Server.
The new products, ASMxBUR_1B and WHIxEVT_2_ comes from a collaboration between the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris (IPGP), the Centre National d'Études Spatiales (CNES) and the Laboratoire d'électronique des technologies de l'information (CEA-Leti) in the framework of Swarm xDISC contract.
The ASMxBUR_1B product contains magnetic scalar data at 250 Hz rate provided at ASM instrument time stamp and are provided at the following path:
For more information about the ASMxBUR products and versions please check the documentation here or via ftp under the following folder:
The WHIxEVT_2_ product contains information about the Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) portion of whistlers detected during ASM Burst Mode sessions and are provided with version 0201 at the following path:
For more information about the WHIxEVT products please check the ASM Whisler Product Definition Document.
Should you be willing to take advantage of these data for a possible publication, please make sure to be in touch with the IPGP team: Gauthier Hulot (email@example.com) and Pierdavide Coisson (firstname.lastname@example.org) before proceeding, to provide feedback, check that the data has been correctly been used and proper acknowledgments been made.
