ESA's new DataCube service is now available

29 Sep 2020

ESA is pleased to announce the deployment of a new service, called ESA PDGS-DataCube, enabling multi-temporal and pixel-based access to a subset of the data available in the European Space Agency dissemination services, including Heritage Missions (HM), Third Party Missions (TPM) and Earth Explorer (EE) data.

The pixel-based and multi-temporal access service provides the users with advanced retrieval capabilities such as data sub-setting, mosaicking, band combinations and indexes generation (e.g. NDVI) with no need of data duplication or data preparation.

The service, accessible with a valid EO Sign In, consists of:

  • A Graphic User Interface (GUI), a web application that provides a user-friendly virtual research environment
  • A Jupyter notebook, a web application to support both expert and non-expert users
