Hurricane Jova (Mexico), October 2011
Hurricane Jova was a powerful tropical cyclone that formed in October 2011 in the eastern Pacific Ocean. It intensified rapidly, reaching Category 3 status on the Saffir-Simpson scale. Jova posed a significant threat to coastal areas of Mexico, particularly the states of Colima and Jalisco, as it approached with strong winds and heavy rainfall.
