The runway at Maurice Bishop International Airport is visible at Point Salines, on the western-most tip of the island, serving as most visitor's entry to Grenada.

St. George's Parish covers the surrounding area on Point Salines. The Parish consists of a number of towns and the city of St. George's, Grenada's capital, which is located on a horseshoe-shaped harbour on the west coast.
