The 16th Specialist Meeting on Microwave Radiometry and Remote Sensing of the Environment (MicroRad 2020) was held virtually from 16 to 20 November 2020.

The event was organised by the Centro di Telerilevamento a Microonde (CETEM) and the Istituto di Fisica Applicata (IFAC-CNR).

MicroRad2020 is a meeting for people interested in or working in the fields of passive microwave remote sensing. The microwave radiometry community presented new research results and instrument designs in the field of remote sensing of land, ocean, cryosphere and atmosphere.

Eight new datasets have been added to the CS2EO platform to support, enhance, and simplify research using CryoSat data. They include the CryoSat Ocean Product, and the Cryo-TEMPO Land Ice, Sea Ice, Polar Ocean, Coastal Ocean and Inland Water datasets.
