The Level 2B wind product of the Aeolus mission is a geo-located consolidated HLOS (horizontal line-of-sight) wind observation with actual atmospheric correction applied to Rayleigh channel. The product is generated within 3 hours after data acquisition.

Users can freely access the collection using the below links and will be requested to login (new users shall register) to ESA EO Sign In to download the products. ESA internal users can use their ESAAD account.

The products are available for download via the ESA Aeolus Online Dissemination System

Users can access Aeolus L1B and L2B wind products:

  • via an HTTP browser
  • via an FTP client
  • via the VirES data visualisation platform
