New interface for submitting EO data access requests
08 Jul 2021
In order to comply with the data access restrictions imposed by ESA or Third Party policy, technical or financial constraints, ESA requires data users to submit a data access request before they can access certain Earth Observation (EO) collections presenting restrictions.
To facilitate the data access request process, a project is in progress to replace and improve the user interface.
The first step of this project is now complete, updating the registration process for 33 collections available via the "fast registration with immediate access mechanism". For these collections, in the dataset description pages, the link to submit a request - available via the Register button or How to access this data section - for the data has been replaced. An active EO Sign In account is required to access the link, which will open a form in ESA's TellUS system. Upon submission of this request form, access to the data will automatically be provided via email.
Other data access request mechanisms will similarly be updated in the future. The schedule for these activities will be confirmed at a later date.
