Minimize Instrument Description and Measurement Modes

GOME was operated in "Timelines (TML)" (for their definition see the GOME User Manual - ESA SP-1182). The last operational configuration was as follows:

- Configuration of the Instrument Hardware: Nominal configuration

- Configuration of the Instrument On Board Software Timelines in use:

  • _ TML 1 NOT 42
    _ TML 2 SOT 34

- General schedule for the orbit move of solar measurements during the calendar year:

  • around 30 September - 5th/6th Kiruna Station (KS) orbit
    around 20 October - 3rd/4th KS orbit
    around 26 February - 5th/6th KS orbit
    around 01 April - 7th/8th KS orbit
  • _ TML 3 NAD 34 + CAT 32 every 3 months (28 Jan, Apr, Jul, Oct)
    _ TML 1 NOT 41 Narrow swath every calendar day 4, 14, 24 of a month.
    _ TML 1 and 3 alternating for:
    North Polar Timeline
    • NPT 35 from 10 MAR to 3 APR
NPT 36 from 4 APR to 1 MAY
  • South Polar Timeline
    • SPT 31 from 5 to 30 SEP
      SPT 32 from 1 to 31 OCT
