Minimize Level 0

Level 0 data products contain decimated Interferogram and instrument telemetry data. The level 0 monitoring provided a first check of the operational processing performance, allowing detection of anomalies in the acquisition and transmission of the instrument source packets. Furthermore it was important to check the instrument behavior, especially house keeping data like detector temperatures.

Daily Reports

The main objective of the MIPAS Daily Reports is to provide a daily monitoring of the mission and of the operational data processing chains. The daily reports allow a quick detection of any anomaly in the instrument performance or data processing. The monitoring and reporting is made using the QUADAS tool which ingests the received products into long term databases and generates the html reports. The QUADAS quality monitoring for MIPAS is implemented for all the level of production and includes content and consistency checks.

Monthly Reports
The main objective of the MIPAS Monthly Reports was to give, on a regular basis, the status of MIPAS instrument performance, data acquisition, results of anomaly investigations, calibration activities and validation campaigns. The MIPAS Monthly Report is composed of analysis results obtained by the Instrument Data quality Evaluation and Analysis (IDEAS) team, combined with inputs received from the different groups working on MIPAS operation, calibration, product validation and data quality. The following groups participate in the MIPAS Quality Working Group: ESRIN-IDEAS, ESOC, ESTEC, ABB BOMEM, Oxford University, IFAC-CNR, EADS-Astrium GmbH, Leicester University, LPMi, IMK, University of Bologna, ISAC, IAA, DLR, ECMWF. In addition, the group interfaces with the Atmospheric Chemistry Validation Team.
