New Copernicus Space Component Data Access portal to be released
14 May 2020
On 19 May the Copernicus Space Component Data Access web portal will be updated, and a brand new website will take its place.
During the replacement of the website, it will be unavailable from 17:15 to 18:45 CEST on 19 May.
The new portal will continue to offer the same services available within the Copernicus Space Component Data Access system (CSCDA), including who is eligible for data, which data is available and how to obtain it. Thanks to a simplified and more intuitive approach, the new website will offer more direct access to key information and simplified navigation of the dataset information.
One of the main innovations of the new site will be a modern and improved graphical layout, which will clearly highlight the various sections of the portal. While the main structure of the site will remain the same, the look of the site will become more pleasant for all users.
The most important news will be prominently displayed on the homepage.
The updates to the site are not only limited to the way it looks, however, as the new portal database and re-engineering of contents and documents will guarantee innovative performance.
The CSCDA web portal is part of a wide constellation of other sites belonging to the ESA ecosystem, such as Sentinel Online, ESA Copernicus, and Research and User Support (RUS); as of next Tuesday, this connection will be even more evident.
