Orbits affected by Copernicus Sentinel-2B collision avoidance manoeuvre on 31 January and 1 February

03 February 2020

Some Copernicus Sentinel-2B planned acquisitions have been lost due to a collision avoidance manoeuvre executed on 31 January and 1 February. In particular, the orbits 15166, 15168, 15170 and 15171 have been impacted by this activity.

In addition, the small available segment over Antarctica relevant to orbit 15170 (sensing start: 31 January at 22:25:25 UTC, sensing stop: 31 January at 22:27:10 UTC) was acquired during the manoeuvre but is going to be removed soon from all data hubs due to the degraded quality of the data.
