Minimize Advanced course on RADAR Polarimetry 2011
The European Space Agency is organising the 1st Advanced Course on Radar Polarimetry, a devoted course on SAR Polarimetry, Polarimetric Interferometry and its applications.

The Advanced Course on Radar Polarimetry will be hosted in ESRIN, Frascati, Italy on 17-21 January 2011.

PhD students from European countries and Canada, interested in Radar polarimetry, are invited to attend the in subject 5 day training course.

Objectives

The main objectives of the course are to:

  • Train the next generation of European Principal Investigators (PIs)
  • Explain theoretical principles, processing algorithms, data products and their use in applications
  • Introduce available tools and methods for the exploitation of ESA and other Dual-Pol and Full-Pol spaceborne data
  • Provide first-hand and up-to-date information on the state of the art in Radar Polarimetry and Polarimetric SAR Interferometry
  • * PIs and students from all other countries are also welcome to apply and participate to the course subject to space availability.
