We inform the Swarm users that due to an anomaly that occurred on the VFM (Vector Field Magnetometer) on board Swarm Bravo, i.e., VFM generation time of science packet frozen from 11/09/2017 03:54 UTC to 13/09/2017 12:24 UTC, the Swarm Level 0 data for this time window was not generated.

We are pleased to announce that the registration for the first massive open online course on 'Radar Remote Sensing' is now open. 'Echoes in Space' is commencing on 09 Oct 2017. This course comprises of five lessons and allows self-paced learning.

Combining images captured by the Copernicus Sentinel-2 mission and the US Landsat-8 satellite between October 2015 and the end of 2016, this land-cover classification map shows different crops across Germany. A total of 2.2 TB of data were used to generate the map, which distinguishes between 21 land cover classes and includes 15 specific crop types.
