EOLi-SA now dismissed

Please be aware that the "EOLi-SA Catalogue and Ordering Service" is now dismissed and replaced by the ESA Simple Online Catalogue which was released in early January 2019.

Flying under Aeolus

Following the launch of Aeolus on 22 August 2018, scientists have been busy fine-tuning and calibrating this latest Earth Explorer satellite. Aeolus carries a revolutionary instrument, which comprises a powerful laser, a large telescope and a very sensitive receiver.

User Consultation for Infrastructures Planning and Monitoring 2019

The European Space Agency (ESA) will host a joint DLR/ESA user consultation for infrastructures planning and monitoring conference, involving representatives from the academic, institutional and private sector on 26 and 27 February 2019 at ESA-ESRIN, Frascati, Italy.

The deadline for abstract submission has now been extended to 17 February 2019.

More of Africa scarred by fires than thought

Satellites play a key role in mapping landscape scarred by fire – but the Copernicus Sentinel-2 mission has revealed that there are more fires than previously thought.

Swarm Bravo: L1B and L2 Cat-2 data gap from 19 to 28 August 2018 recovered
