Due to interest from the Proba-V user community, the satellite is being used to acquire images over Antarctica from November 2017 to February 2018.

Launched on 13 October, the Sentinel-5P satellite has delivered its first images of air pollution. Even though the satellite is still being prepared for service, these first results have been hailed as exceptional and show how this latest Copernicus satellite is set to take the task of monitoring air quality into a new era.

The first images from Sentinel-5P will be revealed tomorrow. Although it will be a few months before the satellite is ready for service, these first results are expected to show just how this new Copernicus mission is set to be a game changer for monitoring air quality.

As part of the Earth Observation (EO) Science for Society, the European Space Agency (ESA) is organising the Cryosphere Remote Sensing Training Course 2018. This course, devoted to training the next generation of cryosphere scientists, will take place in June 2018, just 1000 km away from the North Pole, in Longyearbyen, Svalbard.

We are pleased to announce the new release of non-gravitational acceleration and thermosphere neutral density data, which were derived from the measurements of the GPS receiver. The newly released data cover the period covering the start of the mission until 19 July 2014. Hence, the available time series is now complete until 31 August 2017 for all three Swarm satellites.
