With Sentinel-5 Precursor about to be packed up and shipped to Russia for liftoff in late September, media representatives, members of the UK Space Agency and National Centre for Earth Observation had the chance to see this Copernicus air-pollution monitoring satellite standing proud in the cleanroom.
ESA would like to inform the SMOS data users that the full reprocessed SMOS level 2 sea surface salinity dataset is now available on the SMOS data dissemination service. Following the reprocessing that finished in May 2017 a "gap-filling" reprocessing was performed to align to the operational product start.

After more than 4 years of successful operations, Proba-V is consolidating its role as a key data provider to the Copernicus Global Land Service as well as a valuable complement to the Sentinel-2 and Sentinel-3 suite of optical sensors.
Consequently, to further promote the scientific and operational exploitation of Proba-V data, a second "Proba-V Symposium" is taking place from 29 to 31 May 2018 in Belgium.
We would like to inform the Swarm users that an Orbit Maintenance Manoeuvre was successfully performed on Swarm Alpha on 13 July 2017 starting at 14:17:55 UTC.
We inform the Swarm Users that because of an issue during the retrieval of the telemetry data from Swarm Charlie, a data gap is present in the Level 1B production on 04 July 2017 from 06:02 to 13:43 UTC.
Following the previous communication, we are pleased to inform you that the announced changes to the FTP layout will be effective on 12 July 2017. Please be aware that some service disruptions might happen during that day.

With the Copernicus Sentinel-3A satellite fully fledged and its data freely available, the task of monitoring and understanding our changing planet has been made that much easier. Seeing the effect spring has on our plant life is just one of its many uses.
