CryoSat-2 Cal/Val Announcement of Opportunity now open!
11 January 2007
In the framework of its Earth Explorer Missions, ESA is developing CryoSat-2, a satellite built to replace the original CryoSat lost due to a launcher failure on 8 October 2005. The CryoSat mission has been designed to determine fluctuations in mass of the Earth's land and marine ice fields. CryoSat-2 is planned to be launched in 2009 and will provide over 3 years data to the user community.
The European Space Agency (ESA) is pleased to announce the release of an Announcement of Opportunity (AO) for the CryoSat-2 mission, aiming exclusively at the Calibration and Validation activities of the mission.
The deadline for submission of proposals is 31 March 2007
