ALOS PALSAR OTF planned maintenance - 7 and 9 May 2019

A software maintenance affecting the On-The-Fly (OTF) Third Party Missions (TPM) and ALOS PALSAR online dissemination services have been planned according to the following schedule:

• 7 May 2019 from 09:30 to 10:00 CEST - ALOS dissemination service
• 9 May 2019 from 09:30 to 11:30 CEST - TPM dissemination service.

Swarm Charlie: data gaps from 28 Apr 2019

We would like to inform Swarm users that an on-board anomaly occurring on Swarm Charlie caused data gaps on all L0, L1A and L1B data products from 28 April 2019 onwards.

Landsat 8 web portal now available on new environment

The Landsat 8 Portal service has been migrated to a new server and is accessible on the previous URL. The portal provides the European and Northern Africa coverage of Landsat 8 data since the beginning of the mission, with different Landsat Level 1 Collection Tiers available.

Preparing for an Earth Observation satellite mission

GOSAT data access unavailable on 9 May 2019

Due to maintenance at JAXA, the dissemination of GOSAT data products on the ESA server will be suspended on 9 May 2019 from 04:30 to 11:00 CEST.

CryoSat Ice Baseline-D data sample and updated documentation available

Following the successful CryoSat Quality Working Group Meeting held from 26 to 28 November 2018, the upcoming CryoSat Ice Baseline-D data products have been further refined.

The Baseline-D ice chain will be transferred to operation on 27 May 2019 and will include several evolutions as well as a new data format (NetCDF).

Sentinel Hub custom script contest closing soon

The Sentinel Hub Custom Script Contest is a remotely run hackathon engaging data scientists, remote sensing scientists, students (from high school to university), and the general public worldwide to produce and share interesting (and new) algorithms to process Earth Observation data.

If you are interested in participating, the contest will end on 5 May 2019, so submit your entry soon.
