The Open Science Earth Observation (OSEO) call aims to foster scientific and applications uptake of full archives of EO data, by offering third party services which exploit state of the art ICT. ESA is pleased to announce the Proba-V Mission Exploitation Platform (MEP) Service as a 3rd-party service added to the OSEO call.

Near the end of last year, due to a huge amount of interest from the users, it was decided to acquire Proba-V data over Antarctica from November 2017 to February 2018.
The campaign has now been completed: the 1 km, 300 m and 100 m resolution products of Antarctica are available online via the Proba-V Distribution Platform in the respective product collections.

The 2nd Proba-V Symposium has been organised by the European Space Agency (ESA) in cooperation with the Belgian Science Policy Office (BELSPO). The event will take place in Ostend (Belgium), from 29 to 31 May 2018.
Users interested in attending the symposium can now register via the Conference Website until the deadline of 29 April 2018.

The Proba-V Mission Exploitation Platform (MEP), released at the end of 2016, complements the Proba-V user segment by building an operational Exploitation Platform on Proba-V and SPOT-Vegetation data, with the aim to ease and foster the use of the data.
The 2nd operational version of the Proba-V MEP has now been released with new and improved features.

Due to interest from the Proba-V user community, the satellite is being used to acquire images over Antarctica from November 2017 to February 2018.

Following the successful LPVE 2014, the European Space Agency (ESA) is inviting scientists and Cal/Val experts to present the latest results from their on-going research at the 2018 Workshop on Land Product Validation and Evolution (LPVE 2018).
The abstract submission deadline has been extended to 30 November 2017.
