Antarctica acquisitions by Proba-V
04 December 2017
Due to interest from the Proba-V user community, the satellite is being used to acquire images over Antarctica from November 2017 to February 2018.
The 1 km, 300 m and 100 m products will be processed up to L2A and provided in a polar stereographic projection. They will be made available online through the regular product distribution portal and the Proba-V Mission Exploitation Platform (MEP).
A second announcement will be made when these products are available to download.
In the figure below, the small image on the left shows the orbits needed to capture the total land mass of Antarctica in 1 km or 300 m resolution. Whereas, the image on the right shows the result of a seamless mosaic of these orbits, projected and cropped to the land borders.
