Living Planet Postdoctoral Fellowships: Call is open until 30 June

06 May 2014

The Living Planet Fellowships are two-year post-doctoral research contracts which will be co-funded by ESA and hosted by a selected Host Organisation (e.g., universities, technical centres, laboratories, companies) from ESA Member States.

A previous call (under the name "The Changing Earth Science Network") saw two fellowships being awarded to GOCE-related research and two to Swarm (out of a total of 9 funded fellows).

The main objective of this initiative is to provide support to young researchers who have a doctoral degree and who would like to initiate a scientific career in the context of Earth Observation, Earth science and Climate research.

Research proposals addressing Earth Explorer missions in orbit, are expected to be high in the priority list for this call.

We therefore hope to see many & excellent proposals submitted!

The deadline for applications is 30 June 2014.
