The ERS SCATTEROMETER mission is being reprocessed with the Advanced Scatterometer Processing System (ASPS) facility that provides data with improved radiometric quality and spatial resolution.

This Envisat image highlights the Ganges Delta, the world's largest delta, in the south Asia area of Bangladesh (visible) and India. The image was created by combining three Envisat Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar acquisitions (20 January 2009, 24 February 2009 and 31 March 2009) taken over the same area.

The OceanObs '09 symposium will celebrate a decade of progress and
make a major contribution to chart the way forward for the coming
decade. The aim is to strengthen and enhance the international
framework under GCOS/GOOS/WCRP for sustained world ocean observing
and information systems supporting the needs of society about ocean
weather, climate, ecosystems, carbon and chemistry.

ESA is organising its 6th International Workshop on "Advances in the Science and Applications of SAR Interferometry", which will be hosted in ESA-ESRIN in Frascati, Italy. The workshop is open to ESA Principal Investigators and co-investigators, scientists and students working in the field of SAR Interferometry and its applications, and to representatives from national, European and international space agencies and value adding industry.
