GOMOS: Operations interrupted since 3 February 2008 due to instrument anomaly

The GOMOS mission is interrupted due to an instrument anomaly in the SATU-Y operations. The measurements were stopped on 3 February 2009 at 16:27 UTC during orbit number 36238.
Investigations to recover the GOMOS mission are ongoing.

This image was obtained by combining three Envisat Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar (ASAR) acquisitions (23 March 2006, 14 August 2008 and 1 January 2009) taken over the same area. The colours in the image result from variations in the surface that occurred between acquisitions.

Advanced Training Course on Land Remote Sensing

ESA is organising a series of advanced thematic training courses devoted to train the next generation of Earth Observation Principal Investigators to exploit data from ESA and Third Party EO Missions for science and applications development.
