EO Operations and Maintenance service transition into new industrial Consortium

The Operations and Maintenance of ESA's Earth Observation Payload Data Systems will be transitioning to a new industrial Consortium, led by Serco, on 1 August 2010. Together with ESA, the Consortium aims at providing users new and improved services over the coming years.

Commissioning activities are ongoing as planned

Following a major update of the L1b scientific processors, the first release of the Cryosat data was opened to the cal/val users last week. The cross-calibration of the two SIRAL chains A& B continues with SIRAL A being the current operational one.

SMOS level 1 data release to general science community

23 July 2010

From 23 July SMOS level 1 data are accessible for the entire SMOS science community through the ESA Earth Observation user services tools. SMOS data can be accessed via subscription or by browsing the multi-mission catalogue, called EOLI-SA.
