Since the beginning of the GOMOS instrument anomaly in January 2009, ESA has put a substantial effort in trying to understand and possibly remove the anomaly.

The Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world, is featured in this Envisat image. This image was acquired by Envisat's Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MERIS) instrument on 10 May 2009, working in Full Resolution mode to provide a spatial resolution of 300 m.

The Symposium will take place in Hawai'i and is hosted by the University of Alaska Fairbanks' Alaska Satellite Facility (ASF). The event is open to accepted PIs, Co-Is, and representatives of the four Data Nodes (AADN, JAXA, ESA, GA) and the Asian sub-node: Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA).
The abstract submission deadline has passed, however it is still possible to submit an abstract online.
