Envisat satellite data transmission resumed

30 April 2009

An onboard anomaly has affected the Envisat payload starting from 28 April 2009 at 13:03 UTC. The recovery procedure required a reset of the High Speed Multiplexer, and - as a consequence - the interruption of all the Envisat satellite data transmission. Nominal operations were successfully resumed yesterday 29 April 2009 at 10:24. Detailed information on the unavailability of each instrument will be published on the Envisat web site as soon as available.
