ESA has recently completed the activity to re-generate the ASAR Wide Swath (WS) Burst Synchronisation information for the majority of the Envisat ASAR WS mission. The B/S information has now been made available to customers in the EOLI-SA Catalogue.

G-POD "Publish To Cloud" Beta feature

As part of G-POD Cloud-oriented enhancements, it is now possible for all registered G-POD users to request access to the beta version of the GPOD "Publish to Cloud" service, which enables the direct publication of G-POD processing results to cloud storage services. Currently, the service supports Google Drive and Dropbox.

Sentinel-3 Validation Team (S3VT) 1st Meeting

26 - 29 November 2013

In preparation for the Sentinel-3A satellite launch at the end of 2014, a Validation Team has been convened by ESA and EUMETSAT to assist in the scientific validation of mission products and services. The Sentinel-3 Validation Team (S3VT) 1st Meeting will take place at ESRIN, Frascati, Italy, from 26 to 29 November 2013. The aim of the S3VT meeting is to consolidate and document S3VT activities prior to launch to facilitate Phase E1 and Phase E2 cal/val planning.

7th International Workshop on Sand/Duststorms and Associated Dustfall

The 7th International Workshop on Sand and Duststorms and Associated Dustfall will take place at ESRIN, Frascati, Italy, from 02 to 04 December 2013. The main objective of the workshop is to bring together scientists working on dust worldwide, exchange information on hot research topics, present and discuss recent understanding on the links and feedbacks between desert dust and radiation, clouds, water budget, human health, and biological systems and to identify current research priorities with a special focus on satellite remote sensing.

AGU Fall Meeting

The American Geophysical Union's 46th annual Fall Meeting will be held in San Francisco, California from 09 to 13 December 2013.

The meeting is the largest worldwide conference in the geophysical sciences, attracting more than 22,000 Earth and space scientists, educators, students, and other leaders gathering to present ground-breaking research and connect with colleagues.

ESA-EUSC-JRC 2014 - Image Information Mining Conference

05 - 07 March 2014

The Ninth Conference on Image Information Mining will be held at the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) in Bucharest, Romania from 05 to 07 March 2014. The event is sponsored by the Image Information Mining Coordination Group (IIMCG) and the Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS). The focus of this year's conference is: The Sentinels Era.

The main topics to be discussed during the conference are: image information mining, image semantic automatic annotation, multi modal and multi-sensor information extraction. The event is aimed at European space agencies and organisations, aerospace industry and research centres, value added companies and service providers.
